  **Use them to buy furniture with interest-free financing, but beware for EVERYTHING ELSE** I have had two experiences with First Franklin. Let me start by saying that the first experience was good. First Franklin loaned us about $500 interest-free if it was paid in 12 months. We paid it in time, built our credit, and only had to pay for the money loaned. That was a good experience. Be sure if you get a furniture loan that you pay more than the minimum payments. Minimum payments will complete paying off the loan after the 12-month period. The second experience, however, was awful. After using them for the furniture loan, I thought I could borrow money from them again. I asked them a simple question: how much do I have to pay on top of the borrowed amount for this money. The lady that was working with me refused to answer the question saying I would have to agree to the loan before she could tell me. Eventually I found in the loan paperwork that there was an addition of almost 50% to the amount I was trying to borrow. The employee skirted around the amount that would be added to the owed amount in a way I consider deceiptful. First Franklin also attempts to include, but does not tell you about, roadside assistance and other fees that have nothing to do with your loan. What was a $620 loan for move out expenses would have become over $900 owed as soon as I signed the contract. I am glad I found the 900 number which was on the contract the whole time that the lady would not show to me... Bullet dodged... Do not use them for any other loans except the interest-free variety, or they will rip you off.
